Dall’Accademia dei Ricovrati all’Accademia Galileiana

From the Accademia dei Ricovrati to the Accademia Galileiana: This volume celebrates four centuries of activity of this Academy, the only academy still existent among the hundreds that were founded in the 16th century in Padua.

We can talk of an “Academy of Padua” because, although the names changed through the centuries, its continuity is clearly marked by the interdisciplinary attitude towards every field of the culture, be it literary, scientific or religious. The results of this analysis are extremely precious, as they trace the historical path of the Academy through different ages.
