Journal B: This volume, thanks to the enormous and precise work of Prof. Antonio Gamba, deals with a time (1694-1730) in which the Ricovrati (the Sheltered) change from a humanistic-literary trend to a scientific-illuminist attitude. After reading this outfit of memories, the reader will be left with the curiosity of knowing the steps that led to the birth of the Accademia Patavina from the ashes of the Accademia dei Ricovrati, which will be treated in the Journal C (yet to be published).
