Umberto Antonio Padovani: The records of the Congress held in order to commemorate the figure, the thought and the work of a great philosopher of the twentieth century, who taught for a long time at the University of Padua, and who played an important part in the development of Italian philosophical culture. The results of his research are here reported, together with tokens of esteem of friends, colleagues and pupils, who recall his human and spiritual vicissitudes.
