Journal A: The records of all the academical meetings from 1599 to 1694 are here reported. With such a critical description of the life of the Accademia dei Ricovrati (this was the name used in those days), the reader can have a clue about the Venetian and European cultural life of the 17th century. Many cultural, political and moral issues are presented in details, with interventions by, among the others, Galileo Galilei, Cesare Cremonini, Federico Cornaro.
